Christmas Show 2009 - Guest Curator Juliet Henderson
The Henderson Gallery welcomes Guest Curator Juliet Henderson for their 2009 Christmas Exhibition.
Some of the biggest names in recent Scottish Art, including Alasdair Gray, Joyce Gunn Cairns MBE, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Vincent Butler RSA RGI and Paul Martin are featured here alongside up-and-coming young talent like Robert Powell and Charlie Anderson. The show is remarkable too for the variety of arts and crafts represented: furniture makers like Robbie Reid and Roland Fraser rub shoulders with ceramicists Simon Ward and Daniel Kavanagh, and glass artists Keiko Mukaide and Ramon Beaskoetxea. There is also a small selection of prints and paintings from the 18th and 19th centuries: altogether, the exhilerating eclecticism and dazzling diversity of this show lifts it far above your run of the mill Christmas Exhibition.
